Description
In 1874 Scotland, Jack, born with a frozen heart and abandoned by his mother, only survived infancy thanks in part to Dr. Madeleine, who replaced his heart with a cuckoo clock. Now, as Jack matures, Dr. Madeleine teaches him how to control his emotions and warns the boy never to fall in love. However, when he falls for street performer Miss Acacia, subsequently beating up a bully in her honor, Jack is forced to flee through the streets of Edinburgh.
